Appointment Guide

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Nurose Aesthetics.

Whether you’re visiting us for your very first consultation or returning for treatment, a little preparation helps ensure your appointment runs smoothly and allows us to achieve the safest and best possible results.

Below you’ll find some general guidance as well as treatment-specific preparation instructions.

Before Your Appointment

When Should I Reschedule My Appointment?

For your safety, some treatments may need to be postponed.

Please contact us before your appointment if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Are feeling unwell or have a fever.
  • Have an active cold sore, skin infection, rash or open wound in the treatment area.
  • Have recently started antibiotics or other medications that may affect your treatment.
  • Have recently received a vaccination and are unsure whether your treatment should proceed.
  • Have recently undergone surgery or another cosmetic procedure.
  • Have experienced a significant change in your medical history since your last visit.

If you’re unsure whether your appointment should go ahead, simply contact the clinic, we’re always happy to advise.

Preparing for Your Treatment .

Some treatments require specific preparation to achieve the safest and best possible results.

Your practitioner will provide you with any treatment-specific instructions when you book your appointment.

Before Your Injectable Treatment

To help minimise the risk of bruising and ensure your treatment can be performed safely, we recommend:

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Attend your appointment with clean skin where possible.
  • Let us know if you have a history of cold sores, are feeling unwell, or have any active skin infections.
  • Inform your practitioner of any new medications or changes to your medical history since your last visit.
  • If you take prescribed blood-thinning medication, continue taking it unless advised otherwise by your treating doctor.

After Your Injectable Treatment

It is normal to experience mild redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising following treatment. These effects are usually temporary and settle over the following few days.

For the first 24 hours, we recommend:

  • Avoid strenuous exercise.
  • Avoid alcohol where possible.
  • Avoid excessive heat, including saunas, steam rooms and hot spas.
  • Do not massage or apply pressure to the treated area unless instructed by your practitioner.
  • Avoid applying makeup for the rest of the day.
  • Continue to protect your skin with daily SPF.

If you experience increasing pain, significant swelling, changes in skin colour or have any concerns following your treatment, please contact the clinic immediately for advice.

Can I Bring Someone With Me?

Yes. Friends or family are welcome to accompany you if this helps you feel more comfortable.

If they would also like a consultation or treatment, we kindly ask that they book their own appointment so we can dedicate the appropriate time to their care.

Consultation Appointments

You don’t need to know which treatment is right for you before booking.

Your consultation is an opportunity for us to understand your concerns, assess your skin or facial anatomy and discuss the treatment options that may be suitable for you.

Our recommendations are always personalised, and there is never any obligation to proceed with treatment.

Deposit & Cancellation Policy

To secure your appointment, a booking deposit is required.

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Your deposit will then be transferred to your new appointment or refunded where applicable.

Cancellations, rescheduling requests or failure to attend with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the booking deposit being forfeited.

This policy allows us to offer appointment availability to other patients and helps us provide the highest level of care to everyone attending our clinic.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
